MON, FEB 4: zBug reBooting and Twin Talk - Oakland Freedom Jazz Society | Studio Grand, Oakland, California

zBug is the premiere industrial jazz unit that presents structured improvisational compositional music sets, based on architecture.

• David Leikam - NS Design CR6 cello, Moog synthesizers, acoustic piano

• Sheila Bosco - drums, percussion, keyboards

• Timothy Orr - drums, percussion

• Patrick Cress - saxophones, electronics

While reedist Dustin Laurenzi, bassist-singer Katie Ernst, and drummer Andrew Green are deeply rooted in jazz tradition, they’ve spent their time on the band stage together making their music more elastic, spontaneous, and open, embracing new inspirations without stifling the improvisational heart of their work.

Hope your summer is ending well this season and there are two announcements today with new developments coming soon.

• SEP 15, 2018: Eddie Gale's Inner Peace Orchestra at Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library in San Jose, California has been rescheduled to SAT, SEP 21, 2019. JAN 21, 2019: Eddie Gale's Inner Peace Orchestra at First AME Zion Church in San Jose, California is still on to kick off the new year right and hope to see you there too!

• zBug rebooting... !? Sheila Bosco and I have been discussing this summer the possible reboot of zBug this autumn as well as other collaborations with SO AR's Robert Lopez and Shanna Sordahl. Timothy Orr will be joining zBug again on drums and percussion as well as with one or two additional members (TBD) in the new fixed lineup formation going into 2019. We are looking to book venues for NOV and DEC now, drop us a line if you are interested in having zBug live.
